Filter coffee

Coffee brewed by letting water pass through grounds and a filter, producing a lighter, longer drink than espresso.

Filter (or brewed) coffee includes pour-over, drip machines and AeroPress-style methods. It uses a coarser grind and more water than espresso, giving a cleaner, less concentrated cup.

It is generally cheaper to get into and gentler on small kitchens.

Why it matters for small spaces

If you prefer long black coffees over intense shots, filter methods are usually the more compact and affordable path.
